It's not very economical as the foam is slightly less dense than average, but for one use, the volume of the gel should be about a teaspoon. It rinses off quickly from the face. The scent is quite specific, but I wouldn't call it unpleasant, although everyone has their own sense of "beauty". Personally, the scent reminds me a bit of "soapy" bubbles or something similar.
