Face and Body Gel La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Gel B5

I prefer a creamier consistency, but the cream-balm from this series is too dense. The gel is not transparent, slightly creamy, and one application lasts me for a day. I apply it before going to bed and it's all good. No need for moisturization in the morning.

Since the beginning of the pandemic and wearing masks, my dry sensitive skin started deteriorating very quickly. Wearing disposable medical masks specifically led to perioral dermatitis and acute contact allergic cheilitis. My struggle with this skin condition was long and with varying success. Until one dermatologist recommended this gel. I'll say right away that I am not a fan of this brand, but using this gel twice a day, my skin, especially my lips, has returned to a state that I would say is 90% pre-pandemic. This is such an amazing result that I will continue to buy this product. I have been using this gel since mid-November 2021.

I received the gel but have not used it yet. What disappointed me is that the gel was not sealed, meaning someone else could have used it or something foreign could have gotten inside.

A dermatologist recommended using this gel after laser removal of spider veins to avoid scarring. Indeed, there was no scarring.

Question for the brand expert:

Please tell me if it is possible to use this gel for irritation after shaving, as there are micro-pores in the skin, and the instructions state that it should not be applied to open wounds.

I applied this gel on my cleansed facial skin and struggled with it for half a day, constantly wanting to wash it off! Ladies, honestly, my skin couldn't breathe, and my cheeks were burning! It felt as if my pores were clogged. I do not recommend it!

I didn't buy it here, but I don't think there is a difference. And it's very interesting why it is written here that it is suitable for cracks and dryness for both children and adults when, personally, when I clarified about this gel, the brand expert assured me that this Cicaplast B5 is used EXCLUSIVELY after cosmetic procedures such as laser or peeling, and in other cases it is not effective. But it is not indicated here, while it is written on the La Roche website. Who to believe?
A dermatologist prescribed it for my hands, there were cracks and dryness, but it didn't help at all! So I used a special cream from another brand, which costs half the price, and it healed all the cracks, and no wonder, because La Roche is just an overhyped brand, whose products are not effective. No wonder one of my dermatologists said that it doesn't help at all and it's better not to spend money on these products, probably not all dermatologists have sold out.
Personally, I have used many products from this brand, and none of them had the results that the brand experts claim. All the reviews seem to be bought. Even acquaintances who used products from this brand, and were prescribed by dermatologists, didn't help at all!
Therefore, I will not buy any of their products anymore. Because it's a waste of money. Especially this gel, which costs over 300 UAH, and is not effective at all, despite using it as recommended by a dermatologist.

The product gives a silicone-like sensation on the skin, but it fades away after about 20 minutes. I would rate it a 5 for the results. I use it situationally on my hands, face, and lips - it works great on all skin areas! I purchased it at a pharmacy.

This is an excellent product that I have tested in both cold and hot weather. It is perfect for dry skin and it effectively regenerates it. After application, any discomfort disappears. It provides ideal moisturization throughout the day. It may leave a shine, but it can be easily corrected with a thin veil of powder.

I have used the old version of this product before it was updated and released in a new form. I mainly used it as a help for restoring my child's facial skin (dry skin). Now that we are in the teenage years, sometimes the skin around the corners of the nose gets really bad. We have been using the B5 gel, the only cream that helps maintain the skin in order! I have been using this product for over 10 years. When it was not available for purchase in Ukraine, I used to order it from abroad, even though the price was three times higher than on this website. It effectively soothes irritation and inflammation, even in cases of skin rashes and other issues. It moisturizes and has healing properties. I use it on my face, and basically on any part of my body. The gel-like texture of the cream is very convenient to use, so I highly recommend it!
