The smell is definitely not for everyone - that's putting it mildly! It reeks horribly of something resembling vinegar(((
However, it does a great job with its functions. I use it after the beach - it moisturizes perfectly. There was a slight redness (more like a pinkish hue) - I applied it twice and everything went away. So, despite the awful smell, I still recommend it for purchase.
This is a good gel with an excellent formula. The only downside is the scent, which may not appeal to everyone.
Summary: a gel with a safe natural composition; effectively treats skin damage, dries and moisturizes well.
In more detail:
1) Unlike many competitors in this price range, which I was very pleased about, the composition consists of 5-6 ingredients and is genuinely natural.
2) Yes, the gel dries and forms a film on the face, tightening the skin. However, with PROPER use, dryness and tightness of the skin will not occur. Let the gel dry on the face and then rinse with warm water. Do not rub the gel "until it turns blue." This way, you can achieve the maximum beneficial effect. On other areas, rinsing may not be necessary.
3) Sunburns heal without peeling or other unpleasant consequences if you apply the gel immediately. The effect is similar to Panthenol.
I bought this gel because of its excellent composition. The gel slightly soothes and tones the skin, but it lacks moisture even for my oily skin.
This gel caused me to have either an allergic reaction or a burn. After applying it, my face became extremely red after about 10 minutes. I immediately washed it off and the redness went away after about an hour. Maybe it just didn't work for me personally, but it's still very strange considering that it's supposed to be soothing and hypoallergenic.
