The scent is very strong and unpleasant. It didn't appeal to me. My child likes it, but I won't be buying it again. The smell is too overpowering.

The shampoo has a strong orange scent. It doesn't sting the eyes at all, I've tried it myself. It doesn't make the hair fall out or cause any irritation. The cap is sealed. There is almost no lather. Actually, there is none at all. After using the shampoo, I apply White Mandarin conditioner to my own hair, otherwise it's difficult to comb through. But it's fine for my daughter. The only drawback is the packaging - the dispenser is not very convenient. Considering all the positives, I will buy it again.

I would have to disagree about the gel. The shampoo has a creamy consistency, it is white and is easily squeezed out of the tube. It is sulfate-free, so it doesn't lather well, especially the first time, but it gets slightly better the second time. Since it is sulfate-free, it rinses off very easily and you can immediately feel that your hair is clean without any slippery residue from the shampoo.

It is necessary to use a conditioner or a hair mask after it (especially for those with long and thick hair), otherwise, it will be difficult to comb your hair (just don't even think about using any of Veleda's own conditioners or hair masks, they are just awful).

And of course, the classic unpleasant Veleda tube cap, with a small recess, closes tightly, so it will be difficult to open the tube with wet hands without breaking your nails or dislocating your fingers (it's better not to close it during the washing process and just lay it on its side). I can't help but wonder, great product, a renowned brand, and such a design for the cap on all Veleda jars/tubes (apparently, the developers have never used their own products in their lives).

My daughter's hair is soft, smells wonderful without any strong scents, and her scalp doesn't itch. It seems to me that her hair gets a bit dirty sooner (I usually wash it once a week, but with this shampoo, on the 5th day, I already feel like washing my hair again).
