The new jewelry collection from Mauboussin has been enriched with an aromatic protégé, embodying the beauty and wealth of precious gems. The Pour Lui in Black Eau de Parfum merges oriental and woody accords to give the fragrance harmony, complexity, elegance, and a touch of gourmet sophistication. A sleek, coal-black, matte bottle subtly hints at what lies within – a refined, deep, smoky, mysterious, and luxurious scent dedicated to the stylish man.
The olfactory pyramid of Mauboussin Pour Lui in Black Eau de Parfum:
Top notes create a semi-transparent introduction of sweet, creamy caramel, juicy mandarin, and fresh mint.
Heart notes delight with the warm, pulsating sound of cedar, violet, and sage, giving the symphony depth and mysterious aura.
Base notes intertwine benzoin, guaiac wood, and patchouli, leaving a resinous-balsamic trail with an enveloping woody nuance.
Not bad, but initially very sweet, almost like a confectionery scent. After an hour, it calms down a bit and the sweetness decreases but doesn't disappear completely, and woody notes appear, which I would like to have more of. It's relatively long-lasting. Probably shouldn't bathe in it because of the sweetness and the strong trail in the first hour.
The scent is great! I have been buying this perfume abroad for many years. This year, I ordered it through makeup (shipping from Europe).
Unfortunately, due to the design, it is not visible whether the bottle is completely filled.
With regular use, these perfumes would last me a year, but this time they lasted less than half a year.
So most likely, the bottle that was ordered here was half empty.
This perfume is incredible. It sounds expensive. The longevity is not bad. During the cold seasons, I sometimes borrow my husband's second bottle of it.
