Perfumery creations of famous jewelers are very recognizable. Even their bottles look more like jewels! Such a masterpiece was released by the famous French jewelry house Reminiscence in 1970. Even though quite a lot of time has passed since then, and fashion does not stand still, this oriental-woody fragrance has not lost its subtle charm.
The olfactory pyramid of Reminiscence Patchouli Eau de Parfum:
Top notes open the composition with the combination of cedar wood, sweetish sandalwood sticks, and earthy bitter patchouli.
Heart notes follow an intriguing intro with oriental accents of vanilla, tonka bean, French labdanum, and smoky dry vetiver.
Base notes create a long-lasting trail that gives the perfume's owner a unique irresistible appeal, merging the depth of Tolu balsam and white musk.
In my opinion, this is exactly how French perfume should smell! At first, the scent seems simply pleasant, like dry wood soaked in spicy cognac. But then the aroma envelops you and you constantly want to inhale it! It's not overpowering, but easily noticeable. It makes you want to smell like this when going to the theater. It's elegant, classic, aristocratic, not shouting, simply luxurious!
I absolutely adore patchouli. The patchouli here is raw and naturalistic. However, on me, it doesn't smell like patchouli but rather like powder. I can hardly detect the patchouli at all. From start to finish, there is an overwhelming amount of sweet powder. In short, for me, this is a story not about patchouli but about powder. It has great longevity.
I ordered 100ml of a product from the EU without testing it beforehand. I had doubts about its effectiveness, but when I saw the design of the package, I immediately knew that there would definitely be a unique scent inside. And I was not mistaken. Thank God, there is no hint of floral notes. The scent is beautiful, it doesn't even feel like it's from 1970... It has not lost its relevance.
The scent is simply amazing! It grabs attention effortlessly. People often ask me what perfume I'm wearing. It lasts incredibly long. The price is also affordable. I'm ordering it for the second time already. But I must admit, I'm a patchouli addict.
This is my purchase without testing, but I love patchouli in perfumes, so I was confident that I would like it. I am simply amazed - I never thought that a single fragrance could unfold with such multifaceted colors! It truly has a niche sound, it is definitely not for everyone, so I recommend testing it.
I removed the mica from the box and... the whole room smelled of patchouli. I took a little risk and applied it on myself. The scent is rich, very intense, and long-lasting. I don't know if I will wear it in public, it is quite specific, but I personally like it! On my skin, it doesn't smell like chocolate, rather it has a mossy and slightly bitter sweet dustiness. Over time, the scent smoothens out, becoming more delicate and leaning towards sweetness.
Excellent! Rich and viscous. In the end, it reminds me a lot of Luten Sultan. Thank you for the pleasure.
I am a patchouli addict, so I immediately grabbed a 200ml bottle. What can I say? I am satisfied with my purchase. The scent is very pleasing. The patchouli notes are rich and velvety, with just the right amount of sweetness. The fragrance has a modern vibe, not retro.
The bottle itself is impressive - the glass is thick and smooth, and the cap is made of metal. Everything is well-made and of high quality.
RICH AND DENSE. LIKE FERTILE BLACK SOIL WITH PEAT. VERY WELL-BALANCED. SUITABLE FOR MEN AS WELL. BOUGHT IT BLINDLY AND I'M ENJOYING IT. THE BOTTLE IS HEAVY, THE FRAGRANCE COLOR IS DARK AMBER. THE CAP IS ALSO WEIGHTY. VERY GOOD!
