The world-famous Bentley brand remains the standard of elegant style and unsurpassed and refined taste. Bentley is always luxury, chic and a confirmation of excellence. When creating an exclusive fragrance, the perfumers used precious woods and natural oils, making For Men Absolute a true quintessence of luxury.
The olfactory pyramid of Bentley for Men Absolute Eau de Parfum:
Top notes reveal refined accords of ginger, skillfully complemented by olibanum and spicy pink pepper shades.
Heart notes are represented by woody accents of Atlas cedar, subtle nuances of papyrus and soft hints of sandalwood.
Base notes complete the symphony with the undertones of amber, moss and oud, creating a delightful trail.
Overall, it's absolutely terrible! There is no durability or sound quality whatsoever. I strongly advise against it.
I really liked it. There is definitely a strong resemblance to Gucci. As for its longevity, it lasts for about 6-8 hours. Just so you know, my batch is 23 years old.
This Absolute is the reincarnation of Gucci pour Homme, the famous "chessboard" from the time of Tom Ford. However, the fragrance itself, GPH, was created by Michel Almairac, just like Absolute. It was not difficult for the perfumer to recreate his own formula and please all those seeking Gucci pour Homme. The same fragrance, the same pyramid, the same resonance. In a parallel test, the difference in scents is minimal. The technical parameters are almost identical, with Absolute being slightly lighter. And this is not Encre Noir or Black Afgano - it is the old Gucci and a magnificent ode to camphor. The bottle is concise and perfectly executed, in the spirit of Bentley. There is a spirit of the 2000s in the fragrance - it's true! The fragrance is very atmospheric, dense, with an incredibly beautiful and non-masculine luxurious trail. Personally, I consider this perfume to be the epitome of beauty, and the fragrance itself is among my top 5 best men's fragrances (on par with Gucci, as the prices of the perfumes are incomparable, but technically they are practically identical). Thank you, Mr. Almairac and the store, for the opportunity to hunt down this wonder.
Overall, it's like a pile of old powder sprinkled with a bunch of bay leaves (if you doubt it, go to the kitchen, open a pack and smell it). The scent is linear from beginning to end, nothing changes. Maybe someone will notice new pencils? It lasts on me for 2 hours. It doesn't even come close to Lalique L'Extrime. Complete disappointment.
The fragrance is simply magnificent, expensive, rich, and reminiscent of the good old days when woody scents were in vogue. Thank you to the store for doing a great job and providing excellent impressions of the perfume.
My colleague bought this, I tried it on myself, and now I want such a bottle for myself. It has a very long-lasting and pleasant scent. At first, there are vibrant spices and pepper, and then a sweet woody aroma.
The water is great. The scent is original, serious, not annoying...even a little wild :) The water is superb!
However, it came in a bottle with a completely black cap - couldn't find such even on the internet :)
I bought my second bottle here with delivery from Poland. The first one was purchased in a different place in December 2018 with delivery from Prague. I bought it blindly because I had nowhere to test it. I immediately liked it a lot. I specifically love woody scents, resinous without any flowers or vanilla.
It reminds me of rosin, the solution of rosin. It brings back good memories from childhood when someone was soldering. Also, the incense in the church. Sometimes it has a scent of buckwheat honey, but this one has the smell of rosin, specifically pine or fir resin. And then there is the wood. I really like everything about it. There's a certain simplicity without any overly sweet or fancy elements, yet it also has a sense of mystery, or maybe even secrecy. It's like the scent of a box that holds a relic or a scroll. But it would also fit in a carpentry workshop. It's lively and energetic. And all this, despite my skepticism towards car brands in perfumery, I won't list them. The ones from Bentley that I tried didn't leave an impression. I just didn't expect such a revelation. Maybe that's why I liked it so much. For lovers of incense, rosin, and wood, I recommend it.
In the summer, there might be a slightly unpleasant sour note, probably because the ginger reacts to the sun, but it depends more on how you feel - if you're not in good health, this note might bother you. For me, this fragrance is more natural than perfumed. Like my first bottle, this one has a new design - black metallic shoulders and cap, a heavy metallic one. The old one with yellow shoulders and cap is now being sold by Turks as Arabic fakes. I know for sure that such a specimen exists.
Thanks to the store for the pleasant price, I bought it a bit more expensive than it is today (802 UAH), but I don't regret it. A good bistro comes to an end, and I rate this fragrance 5/5.
In terms of longevity, it's quite satisfactory. I can smell it all day, and it might still be noticeable on clothes for several days. My first bottle isn't finished yet, but it's difficult to determine the remaining amount accurately because it's very dark, and I couldn't shine a flashlight through it. I think it's about half full, I've been saving it. I bought the new one as a backup.
The fragrance is marvelous! It's like magic in a bottle! It's the best alternative to the discontinued rare Gucci pour Homme from 2003. It remotely reminds me of Comme des Garcones MAN2, but with a smokier and sweeter scent. The blend of cedar and sandalwood sounds incredibly refined and expensive. It's my favorite scent for this spring!
