TESTER (tester) is a demonstration version of the fragrance added by manufacturers to a batch of products for advertising at the point of sale. Please note that there are no differences (such as the quality of the fragrance, durability, etc.) between the tester and the retail version! The only difference is that since testers are produced for advertising purposes, the manufacturing company does not pay as much attention to their packaging: they are offered in so-called technical packaging (a simple cardboard box different from that used for retail bottles) and often do not come with a cap. This accounts for the lower cost of testers.
