This exquisite perfume water, crafted by Annick Goutal and Francis Camail, embodies a delicate elegance and classic features. The creators were inspired by Marguerite Yourcenar's novel, "Memoirs of Hadrian", aiming to encapsulate the thrilling moments of the fascinating book so they could be relived over and over again.
Eau D'Hadrien is infused with the light breeze of refreshing air and the warm Mediterranean sun, yet it miraculously blends two seemingly incompatible elements - cold and warmth.
The fragrance composition embraces a light, misty hue of aromatic grass, clarity, and a gentle bitterness. Citrus notes burst forth with joy and freshness, gradually warmed by an enchanting woody aura. Ripe fruits warmed by the sun, juicy grapefruit, and Sicilian lemon meld with the subtle nuances of cypress and citron, bringing lightness and creating harmony. With each note, the scent evokes the thrilling moments of life, as if unfolding in a heartwarming romantic novella.
The fragrance itself is very pleasant, BUT it is absolutely not long-lasting.
The scent is different from what I'm used to. I bought it without testing, just in case. The first impression is bright citrus notes - lemon, mandarin, and orange, followed by wood, they say cypress, also very bright middle notes. I quickly got used to it, the scent is bright but calm, fresh. Special packaging - native trinkets. And a large volume - not convenient for traveling.
The fragrance is very fresh and light, with distinct notes of citrus (lemon, grapefruit). There is also a hint of pine (cypress) and a delicate sweetness of mandarin. The scent is long-lasting and leaves a trail, but only when applied as a perfume. I really liked it!
