This is a woody-musk perfume with floral shades that is designed as unisex. Its name - a testament to the fact that its creation was inspired by the famous Parisian cabarets with their vibrant interiors, exquisite dancers, and charming visitors. Cafe Chantant tells of legendary times, transporting its wearers to France at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The fragrance conveys an atmosphere of pleasure that hovered over the Parisian audience of that era.
The perfume composition is distinguished by its rich and multifaceted character. It begins to enchant with notes of cherry, star anise, and bay leaf. Then, the heart unfolds, reflecting iris and heliotrope. Finally, a light vanilla-creamy trail is formed, composed of shades of musk, vanilla, and benzoin. Such a scent, especially vibrant after sunset, is perfectly suited for charming and joyous, optimistic and elegant, emotional and sensual individuals.
I did not like the scent. It reminds me of Mancera Red Tobacco, but without the tobacco and spices. It has a more masculine vibe. At the beginning, I can detect a subtle cherry note, followed by a powdery heliotrope with vanilla, and the base notes consist of patchouli. It also reminded me of Guerlain Shalimar, with a slightly retro feel.
