The base is absolutely useless! All the liquid shadows, including the Vivienne Sabo base that I had, were better than this disappointment of the year. It's good that I got it during a promotion. It can only hold the shadows for half a working day at most. Just a little longer than without a base. After six hours, the shadows start to crease on the eyelid, creating an unattractive oily streak. The difference is that the previous products were silicone-based, while this base is oil-based (mineral oil), and it remains greasy until you apply the shadows. No matter how much I applied (very little or as usual), and no matter how long I waited before applying dry shadows, the result was the same. The shadows also stick to it and don't blend well. Prior to this, all my makeup would easily last for 12-14 hours before removing it. In short, it's a waste of money.

I am unable to use it at all. When applying, it creates a slight cooling sensation, which ultimately leads to tears streaming down my face. It is not the right product for me.

The shadows can be nicely concealed on them, but they tend to smudge and dry out quickly, so I ended up throwing them away.

I have used it several times and the base dried out. It's disappointing. I wanted to have it for occasional festive makeup, but unfortunately, this is not the right option. The eyeshadows adhere and blend nicely on it, but only if you use it daily. If you use it occasionally, it's a waste of money. It doesn't smell like grandma's closet, but rather like good men's cologne, which is equally strange.

I have been using this base for 7 years, maybe even more. There is no better product for oily and droopy eyelids! As an example, when I did my makeup for a wedding and a photoshoot, I asked the makeup artist to use this base specifically because I don't trust any other base for my eye makeup. And the wedding and photoshoot were in the middle of summer, with temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius, but the makeup was not just noticeable, it had beautiful warm shades and lasted even until the next day! It was quite impressive.
I must also say that I am always on the lookout for alternatives to this base, and even when I find something decent, I still buy this one as a backup because if there is an important event, I wouldn't dare to go with any other base. Draw your own conclusions!
And as for Vivienne Sabo in general, it's simply amazing! No matter what anyone says about the place of production, etc.

Why doesn't anyone mention the disgusting smell of this product - "the smell of grandmother's wardrobe"! If I had known it would smell like this, I definitely wouldn't have bought it. Furthermore, I don't understand the abundance of positive reviews. In my opinion, this product is not remarkable in terms of its properties or anything particularly outstanding. Vivienne Sabo has a base for eyeshadows with much better properties and at a reasonable price!

The foundation is not bad, but it dries very quickly. I bought it twice, and had the same experience both times. I won't buy it again. Maybe it's just my bad luck.

I have already bought probably the tenth jar, as always for makeup. And, what disappointed me, the base turned out to be dry. I have no complaints about the product itself. I think more about the storage conditions in the warehouse. Has anyone else had this experience?

My favorite foundation (after Bourgeois, which is somehow not available now), but for some reason, I was disappointed with its staying power in the south. It's as if you can apply it over powder successfully.

The base performs its function perfectly. Its only drawback is that it dries out quickly. Everything good eventually deteriorates! If before it would dry out towards the end of use, now it's only halfway through the jar and it's already impossible to apply. Can someone recommend a worthy replacement?

Great base, the shadows lay well on it and last longer, but unfortunately, it dried out quickly. After just six months, I had to throw away almost a full jar.

I purchased this product on the website a while ago. I have only used it a maximum of two times. It didn't do anything for me. The base feels "rubbery" and doesn't apply smoothly on the eyelids. It doesn't enhance the color intensity of eyeshadows either. Does it prevent the eyeshadows from creasing? Well, if the base already comes with lumps, then I haven't reached that point in my experiments. I have used cheaper bases before, but there were products better than this one.

The base works perfectly for the first six months. However, after that, it only lasts a maximum of five hours and then everything starts to deteriorate. The eyeshadows do not always apply evenly on it.

My first impression was positive because the eyeshadows lasted for three hours in the heat, and I thought it was great (I tested them while on vacation, and at home). But now let's talk about the main issue. I applied the base before going to work, and the eyeshadows, as usual, were applied on top. However, the eyeshadows faded away halfway through the day. This is my second review because I tested them for a day. I didn't notice any difference between the Ruby Rose eyeshadows for 80 UAH and these ones for 199 UAH, but I managed to get them on sale for 163 UAH (before testing). I've read so many reviews and noticed that the only downside is that they dry out and don't last on 20% of people. So, my conclusion is that this product is not suitable for oily eyelids considering its price. And one more thing, Ruby Rose eyeshadows work better as a base compared to the Artdeco Eyeshadow Base. I won't buy them again and won't recommend them to others.

The base is very nice, shadows don't smudge and appear more vibrant on it. I wrote makeup, and as a bonus for my order, a gift was supposed to be included, but they probably forgot to put the gift in. That's not pleasant.

I took a long time to decide whether to buy this product. I read both good and bad reviews, with some people saying it didn't work for them until the end. However, I decided to give it a try. The application was a bit difficult (it emphasized my droopy eyelids), and it didn't work well with light eyeshadows for some reason, everything was clumpy. I washed it off and tried again, but this time with darker shades. It worked well and lasted for about 3 hours (which is already impressive for a hot day, considering my eyelids tend to get oily). I washed it off completely to test it properly. However, I couldn't find the expiration date and I didn't understand why there was no protective film on the jar when I opened it. Since the price is good right now, I ordered another one as a backup, but now I'm worried it won't last without the protective film. The foundation is really good, it keeps shadows in place all day long. The only downside is that it dries out quickly, lasting only about a month.

I love this base, it's great. The only downside is that over time it turns into clay and becomes unusable, unfortunately. It also has a scent of men's shaving foam, which not everyone likes, but it's not a big deal because it's only noticeable during application. Overall, it significantly prolongs the wear time of eyeshadows.

I have bought this product before. I really like it. The shadows last up to 14 hours (possibly even longer, but I'm not sure because I wash my face). The blended eyeshadow also stays in place perfectly, just like concrete.

My best solution is to buy this foundation. Previously, no shadows could last more than 3 hours, but now they stay on all day long, so much so that it's even a pity to wash them off in the evening. I highly recommend it!

I have been using this foundation since 2017, and it has always been great. However, I bought it here a month ago and was very, very disappointed. It doesn't provide the desired result at all, and the shadows smudge. Perhaps they changed the formula, so I need to find a replacement.

Good budget eyeshadow base.

My first base. After using it 3-4 times, I've become skilled at applying it. The eyeshadows stay on for more than 10 hours.

I have been using it for many years. It is really good. Sometimes it may seem like it dries out the skin, but that's just the initial feeling upon application. In reality, the eyelids do not suffer.

The foundation is good while it is new. However, after not using it for a few months, it dried up and I had to throw away half of the jar. It would have been better if it had a smaller size. It's a shame that I wasted my money.

The base is of very high quality. I am extremely satisfied. The eyeshadows apply more easily and do not crease throughout the day. The effect is amazing!

Personally, I found this foundation to be lacking in pigment. The white base from NYX, similar to a concealer, remains my favorite. The product has several advantages: it is very economical, the price is affordable, and the eyeshadows apply well. However, once again, there is a lack of pigment for intensity of shades, but this is just my subjective opinion as someone who prefers brighter colors. It is perfect for daytime makeup.

The primer is pretty good, but you have to be careful with oily eyelids (apply a light, thin layer without layering). It holds eyeshadows quite well (the eyeshadows should also be good, otherwise the primer won't help). Let's see how it performs in the jar (how quickly it dries) - testing for 3 weeks so far.

LADIES, I want to warn you! Before buying, pay attention to the ingredients, make sure to check them. Those of us who, like me, are prone to allergic reactions... I had a terrible allergy exactly in the areas where I applied the base. Be careful!

I really liked the eyeshadow base. The bright shades stayed on all day with it, and it also holds shimmery shades well. Some people say that the pencil draws poorly, but I have a gel pencil and it draws well over the base, staying put perfectly. I apply it on my eyelid with a flat brush, blend it slightly, let it dry for a few seconds, and then apply the eyeshadows carefully. The key is to apply a little at a time and make sure to gently tap off any excess, or else you might create a patch that is difficult to blend over the base (don't repeat my mistake!).

I regularly use this base, applying it with a small spatula. I give it a little time to absorb, and then I apply the eyeshadow. The eyeshadows stay better with this base. The jars last for a long time.

It performs its task well, but once there is about half of the product left, it becomes a real problem if you have longer nails. It's difficult to get an even layer with your finger and it ends up clumping, making it impossible to apply evenly on your eyelids. If you have short nails, then it will work for you.

Perhaps for someone it is good, but I am not satisfied because I have something to compare it with. M.A.C Prep + Prime 24-Hour Extend Eye Base works much better, has more than twice the volume, does not dry out, is used very economically, lasted for three years, and works very effectively. You can accidentally fall asleep and the eyeshadow will still stay in place even the next day. It is also convenient for layering eyeshadows, but unfortunately it was not available and I had to take this one. I have oily skin and M.A.C eyeshadows or any other eyeshadows only last for about 3-4 hours and then they gather in creases, you can easily wipe them off with your fingers like oil and nothing will be left behind.
